Read Aloud text: hedgerows as wildlife corridors

Hedgerows are far more than boundaries between fields. These narrow strips of shrubs and small trees provide food and shelter for insects, birds and small mammals, and they act as green corridors that allow wildlife to move safely across open farmland. Where hedgerows have been removed, many species struggle to find mates or reach new feeding areas.
