Read Aloud text: learning journals
Many universities now encourage students to keep a learning journal. After each seminar, students write a few lines about what surprised them, what confused them, and what they intend to read next. Tutors report that this simple habit helps learners notice gaps in their understanding early, long before those gaps appear as disappointing marks in final assessments.
