Notice: neighbourhood grants for community groups in Harlow Vale

Harlow Vale Borough Council: Neighbourhood Grants 2027

Community groups in the Eastfield and Marsh Lane wards can now apply for grants of between £250 and £2,000 for projects that bring local people together or improve shared spaces.

Who can apply Applications are welcome from residents' associations, sports clubs, faith groups and other voluntary groups with at least three committee members who are not related to each other. Groups do not need to be registered charities, but they must have a bank account in the group's name. Individuals and profit-making businesses cannot apply.

What we fund Equipment, room hire, publicity and one-off events. We do not fund staff wages or activities that have already taken place.

How to apply Complete the online form by 5 p.m. on Friday 12 March. Before applying, every group must send at least one member to one of two short information evenings at Eastfield Library (Tuesday 16 February or Wednesday 24 February, 7-8 p.m.), where council officers will explain the form and answer questions. Paper forms are available from the library for anyone who cannot apply online.

Decisions A panel of six residents and two councillors will meet in April. All applicants will be told the result by email by 30 April, and successful groups must spend their grant within twelve months.
