OFFICER: Good morning, Metro Community Media Centre. Greg speaking. CALLER: Hello. I'm calling to book a recording suite and technical equipment for a community podcast series. OFFICER: Certainly! We have several dedicated production rooms. Which setup do you require? CALLER: I need the four-microphone voice suite, primarily for round-table interview panels. OFFICER: Right, that setup is in Studio B, which is located inside the Caxton Annexe. CALLER: Studio B, Caxton Annexe. Great. What is the standard hire rate for casual users? OFFICER: The standard charge is £24 per hour. However, for recognized community organizations booking a block of three hours or more, we discount that to £18 an hour. CALLER: That's a helpful reduction. What storage gear do we need to bring along? OFFICER: The recording console connects to a high-speed workstation, but all users must bring their own portable solid-state drive to export the multi-track WAV files after each session. CALLER: A solid-state drive, no problem. Are there any mandatory training requirements before our first session? OFFICER: Yes, all first-time studio engineers must complete a short studio induction. The next one is scheduled for Wednesday, October 11th at 6:30 pm. CALLER: Excellent. I'll register for that induction slot right now on your site. Thank you, Greg! OFFICER: You're welcome. See you next week.
