Sarah: Welcome to the Green Acres Community Garden. I'm Sarah, the garden coordinator. It's great to see so many new faces here today. Let's go over some basic information for new members. First, the membership fee. It is 25 pounds per year, which goes towards maintenance. You don't need to bring heavy tools like spades or forks, as we supply those in the shed, but you do need to provide your own gloves for health and safety reasons. We were very lucky to get this land. Originally, the city council planned to build a car park here, but after a petition from residents, they decided to donate it to us to improve local biodiversity. It's been a huge success. Looking ahead, our next big gathering isn't the harvest festival, that's in October. Next month, we are hosting a seed swap, which is a great way to try growing new things. Finally, a quick warning. We've had a great crop of strawberries, but a badger has been getting under the fence at night and eating them. We are fixing the fence, but please make sure the gates are shut.
