COORDINATOR: Good morning, Blackwood Wetlands Trust. Mark speaking. CALLER: Hello. I'm calling to ask about joining the community volunteer days this month. COORDINATOR: Wonderful! We always welcome new volunteers. Our primary conservation tasks take place on Saturday mornings between nine and twelve thirty. CALLER: That fits my schedule nicely. Where do volunteers meet initially? COORDINATOR: We meet at the conservation barn situated on Heron Lane, just past the south car park. CALLER: Heron Lane, got it. What sort of work will we be doing? COORDINATOR: At the moment, we're focusing on removing an invasive aquatic weed from the secondary drainage canal. It's choking the native watercress beds. CALLER: Understood. Do I need to bring specialized equipment, like waders or shears? COORDINATOR: No, we supply all protective aprons, waders, and shears. However, we ask that every volunteer brings their own pair of heavy-duty gardening gloves. CALLER: Perfectly fine. Is there an age restriction for volunteers? COORDINATOR: Anyone over fourteen is welcome, though participants under sixteen must be accompanied by an adult. CALLER: Great. Should I register online beforehand? COORDINATOR: Yes, please complete the health declaration on our website by Thursday evening so we can arrange adequate safety briefings. CALLER: Wonderful, I'll do that today. Thank you, Mark!
