An international magazine is running a series called 'A dish for the day'. Readers are invited to send in articles about a food that, in their culture, is eaten on only one occasion each year. Describe the food and how it is prepared, explain how it came to be connected with that occasion, and consider whether such foods would lose their meaning if they were available all year round.
