Part 2 article

Writing Part 2. In the exam you choose one task from a choice of three; here, answer this task. Write your answer in 280-320 words in an appropriate style.

An international magazine is running a series called 'The sound of a place'. Readers are invited to write an article about a sound closely connected with a custom or way of life where they live, such as a bell, a drum or a street call. Describe the sound and what it means to people, and consider whether such sounds deserve protection when some residents object to them.
