“I’m thinking about signing up as a volunteer mentor with Bridgeway, the youth organisation you worked with – the one that pairs adults with teenagers who need someone reliable to talk to. You did it for a year, didn’t you? What was it actually like building a relationship with a teenager you didn’t know? Was the training they gave you any use? And is there anything you wish you’d known before you started?”
