A telescope in the car park (multiple-choice cloze text)
A telescope in the car park
On the first clear Friday of every month, the car park behind Oakden Library becomes an observatory for the evening. Members of the Oakden Astronomy Society set up their telescopes as soon as it gets dark and invite anyone walking past to have a look. The evenings have become so popular that visitors are now asked to spend no more than a few minutes at each telescope. The next evening will [1] ______ place on Friday 6 March, [2] ______ the weather is good; if the sky is cloudy, it will move to the following Friday. 'Most people have never seen the rings of Saturn with their own eyes,' says society chair Priya Nandakumar. 'When they do, there's always a long silence, and then someone asks if they're looking at a photograph.'
