Narrator: You hear two friends talking about a payment from a phone app. Boy: You look fed up. What's wrong? Girl: I've just checked my bank account. That language app I tried in March? The free trial ended, and it's taken seven ninety-nine from me four times now. Boy: That's how those companies make their money. They hope nobody notices. Girl: But they did warn me. They sent an email the day before the trial ended. And it's not the money, really. It's about thirty pounds altogether. What gets me is that I deleted that email without even opening it.
